Waking up to a new day!

The resort had a quaint environment for breakfast; too bad the food was forgettable.

Let's go find the beach, which was just 3 minutes' walk from the resort!


Going out from the back entrance, there were several eateries and massage shops along the lane leading to the main road, which ran parallel to the beach front.

Since we couldn't stay at the beach anymore, let's go back to enjoy our jacuzzi!

Back to the beach... bright & sunny!

What's he doin'?

Like a kid, the mister poked at the sand bank till he got tired of it... and walked off.

The mister relaxing on a beach chair, while I was happily snapping away. That was the only fine hour of sunny beach for us; the rest of our trip was mostly covered with dark clouds and rain.

After an hour of Thai massage, we headed off to Patong Beach. We found out later, that if we had waited till 7pm, we could have gotten a free shuttle to Patong Beach and saved 400 Baht! Oh well.

Hey, why was he turned away from me? Oh, he was looking at the sea, unaware that I was taking a photo. Ok, another shot, a loving one this time!

Dinner at Patong Seafood Restaurant, which was packed with tourists!

After strolling past the shops along the street and finding nothing much to buy, we left this tourist infested place and headed to the mall area.

We bought buns and packet milo from Carrefour for the next 2 days' breakfast, then headed off to Starbucks to get the mister his coffee fix.

Back to the beach!

Playing with the iphone, a great pasttime for idleness and sleeplessness.

With nothing much else to do, we decided to go for a half day tour.

First stop - The Big Buddha

An image of the completed structure. Currently, only the Big Buddha and the golden statue are there. The cost of construction is purely dependent on donations, so it would probably take another 5 years before it can be completed.

Phuket Town

On the way to the next stop, we asked the driver where we could find BBQ chicken, so he made a stopover at this roadside market.

After circling one round and not finding any stall selling BBQ chicken, we settled for fried chicken drumstick instead.

Karon View Point

Unaware that our tour guide cum driver decided to skip Cape Promthep (due to lack of time and low chance for a good sunset view anyway due to the cloudy sky) and make Karon View Point the last stop, it was a pity that we did not linger here long enough to slowly take in the beautiful scenary.

Dinner at Bai Toey, located just outside our resort, where we had lunch the day before.

We loved the steamed fish and green curry, and the other dishes were yummy as well! We declared this our favourite Thai restaurant and it was located just outside our resort, ain't that great?

After dinner, we took a one-hour break before going for foot massage. After the massage, there was a motor-cart-stall outside selling BBQ chicken! Woohoo, the mister was so pleased!

On this day, we went to the beach again. This time, I was no longer snapping photos. We sat side by side and looked at the waves. It was nice... until it started drizzling again!

We back to enjoy our jacuzzi again, had a shoulder and back massage, checked out our room and had our last yummy Thai dinner before leaving Phuket.
